TEXT: "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me" (Matt 14:30)

Someone who focuses on the promise of God is someone who will be in command of the impossible. This was the case with Peter. Peter could walk on water because he focused on the word of Jesus to him. But the moment he shifted his eyes from the promise (word) to look at the problem, he started to sink. This is what is happening in many people's life today.

Dear child of God, be aware that when you lose focus on the promises of God for your life, you will be out of the realm of possibility. What you focus on determines your possibility or impossibility. Focus on the promises of God for your life and destiny because what you focus on with time will affect your life; either positive or negative.

The Bible says "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory..." (2Cor 3:18). If you want to see the impossible become possible in your life, don't focus on the problem, focus on the promise. Focus on the promise that seems impossible to you as human and you will obtain it.

Abraham was 75 years old when God made the promise that he would be the father of many nations. For 25 years, he continued to believe in the promise of God even though his physical body was withering away every single day. Abraham didn't waver in the promise of God because he kept his focus on the promise and not the problem.

Just like Abraham and Peter above, we have the choice to focus on the promises of God or to focus on the problems of our lives. Abraham didn't deny his problem, he just didn't focus on it. And you also shouldn't deny that there are problems in your life only continue to focus on the promises of God for you and not the problems. Continue to press forward in your faith knowing that God will keep His promises to you.

Focusing on the promise and not the problem is a choice and it requires that you discipline your mind. Sure, you will be tempted to focus on the problems and all the ways that things won't work fine for you but, focusing on the problem will tear down your faith and cause you to doubt God's possibility power. I admonish you this morning to focus on the promise, not the problem.

PRAYER: The promise of God that you're holding on to at the moment shall be fulfilled before this year is over, in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
