TEXT: "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him" (Psalms 62:5)

It is gainful to wait on God concerning any issue of concern in our life. Wait on God means to patiently look unto Him for what we need and the way out of any challenge we find ourselves. King David recognized why he had to wait on the Lord. Firstly, he said he will wait on God because his salvation came from Him (Ps. 62:1). David learned that no one else could deliver him. His only hope was in God (Ps 62:5), for God alone hears our prayers (Ps 62:8). For these reasons, he learned to wait on God. Our prayers often revolve around asking God to hurry up and bless what we want to do. What if God’s answer to us is simply, “Son/daughter, be patient. Wait upon Me”? Will you still wait or will you follow your own way?

Sometimes we act like the prodigal son. What I mean is that, we always want things to be done our way. Maybe you are praying for something and you feel that God is not listening to you. Sometimes if you are not careful, you will give up and doubt God’s power to perform. All things are possible with God beloved. God knows all things and He has set time for everything under the sun including your change of story. Don’t forget that thousand years is like a day unto God. This means that your two, three or more years of waiting for God to step into that issue may just be five seconds to Him. You may try to use your own way(s) to get what you are praying and hoping for but in the end, you will regret for your impatient. You will not be a victim, in Jesus name.

Dear child of God, be encouraged to wait patiently for the Lord and He will give you what you are praying for when the time is right.

It pays to wait.

PRAYER: I pray for you today that your testimony shall not be denied and your destiny shall not be truncated, in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
