TEXT: "For with God nothing shall be impossible" (Luke 1:37)
I welcome you to another week that God shall be carrying out His strange works and strange acts in and around you and me, in Jesus name.
Be expectant!
In the Bible, God chose three women to prove to the world that nothing is impossible with Him. He made them to become pregnant and have babies even when it was impossible to happen. Yes, women get pregnant all the time but, for these women, it was naturally impossible for them to get pregnant due to the circumstances that surrounded their lives.
The first woman was Sarah who was long pass the age of menopause. She became pregnant at age 90 because with God nothing is impossible. "And Jesus looking upon them saith, with men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27).
The second woman is Elizabeth, who became the mother to John the Baptist. Elizabeth was very old to ever think of becoming pregnant. Plus she was barren, which means it was physically and medically impossible for her to get pregnant and have babies. But that didn’t stop God. Even though she was much too old, and her body said no to pregnancy, Elizabeth got pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby boy because with God nothing is impossible. "And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible" (Luke 1:36-37).
Thirdly, God wanted Mary to get pregnant and give birth to Jesus. Mary wasn’t too old, she was just the opposite. Mary was too young, and it was physically and traditionally impossible for her to get pregnant yet. That didn’t stop God; God wanted Mary to get pregnant, so Mary got pregnant, and gave birth to Jesus. It can be difficult to understand sometimes how something that is impossible can suddenly become possible with God.
Sarah didn't just get pregnant, God made it happen. Mary didn’t just get pregnant, God made it that way. Elizabeth didn’t just get pregnant, God made it happen because Nothing is impossible with God.
What is that seemingly impossible situation in your life, business or home? Remember, it may be impossible to man but not with God, for with God, nothing shall be impossible. I encourage you to take the issue to God in prayer this week. The God of impossibility, who turns impossibility to possibility shall visit you this week and like these women above, you shall celebrate your testimonies, in Jesus name.
PRAYER: It is your turn for a testimony in Jesus name!
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
