Acts 16:25-26 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed."
It becomes important for us to engage thanksgiving and praise to bring home our desired answers to prayer before the end of the month. We may pray amiss but we can never thank or praise God amiss. In fact, the fastest way to bring God to any issue of concern is to thank and praise Him. Paul and Silas in today's anchor scripture prayed but until they sang God did not respond.
Praise has the ability to raise anybody. You know, testimonies are the best interpreters of truth. There was a testimony of a Pastor who was returning from a trip, suddenly he saw smoke coming out from his car. He rushed out of the car to open the bonnet, lo and behold fire everywhere. Instead of him to look for how to put off the fire, he opened the car, picked up his Bible and began to sing and dance around the burning car. People gathered to watch this crazy act.
Among the onlookers was a man who approached the Pastor and asked why he was singing instead of crying. His answer was: "His praise must continually be in his mouth irrespective of any situation." The man gave him his complimentary card and told him to come to his office. When he got to his office the following day, he was handed a key to a Pathfinder jeep. Praise brings God into that matter. Learn to praise Him, your situation notwithstanding and God will show up.
PRAYER: That matter shall end as testimony before the month is over, in Jesus name.
