Proverbs 23:18 "For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off."
The problem with many that pray without result is lack of expectation. What you expect is what will manifest. If you pray without expectation, your answer is not in view. If you expect instant answer, later answer or no answer, that's what you will get. No matter what you are going through now, there is an end to it. You need to be highly expectant. Please read the story of a man in Acts 3:4-5. This man asked for alms and also expected. His expectation was rewarded with greater blessing. He was healed, never to beg again.
A good example of prayer without expectation is found in the book of Acts chapter 12. Peter was arrested and jailed waiting to be executed. The church gathered to pray for him. Peter was released but the response of the people showed they were praying without expecting God for answer. Read their response below:
"And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John...where many were gathered together praying. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad...But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished" (Acts 12:12-16).
Expect God to answers you when you pray. What you say or how you react to situation after praying speaks of your expectation. Your action or reaction is a product of your expectation and this will either deliver the answers you need or hinder it.
PRAYER: The answer you expect today will come, in Jesus name!
