Luke 18:7 "And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?"
Another step I want us to examine as we round up for the week is the need for us to persist on the altar of prayer to see the answers we desire.
Daniel persisted for 21 days before his answer manifested (Daniel 10:12). Lots of people today give up too soon. You need to stay on the altar of prayer to the point of answers. It's called operation PUSH (Pray Until Something Happen). This is what Elijah did on Mount Carmel. He persisted until he saw a sign. (1Kings 18:41-46). Don't quit praying if you haven't seen the answers you desired.Persistence is the ability to hold on. God wants us to hold onto His promises in prayer. What got the Judge to act in response to the widow's request in Luke 18 was her persistency. The judge said in verse 5: "Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me." Her not-giving-up attitude got her what she needed. Jesus concluded by saying "I tell you that he (God) will avenge them (the elect that call Him day and night) speedily."
Don't let disappointments or delay cause you to give up praying. Ask and keep asking until the answer comes (John 4:24). Most of the time, the greatest discouragement often comes just before the answer arrives. You need to guard against this and pray until you see your answer. Don't give up praying, it's not over yet!
PRAYER: Your answers shall not be denied this month in Jesus name.
