Phil 4:6 "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
I specially welcome you to this special week. I call this week special because there shall be rain of answered prayers in our midst both as individuals and as a people.
We have been examining the covenant steps that guarantee answered prayer. As a way of recap, we said to see answers to prayers, you must among others {1} Locate relevant scriptures to back up your prayers. This is because only the facts holders are rulers in this kingdom. {2} Ask. Don't assume that God knows your needs. Even if He knows, He still wants you to ask. {3} Believe that God is ready to answer you when you call. Believe that He won't tell you to come back tomorrow when He can answer you today.Another covenant step that moves God to answer our prayers is thanksgiving. Once your faith says God has heard you, thank Him for it even if you're yet to see it manifest physically. Doing this proves that you trust His Word more than the confronting situation.
Have you ever found yourself saying thank you to a man who just promised to do something for you or give you something? You thank him in advance when he's yet to fulfill his promise because you trust that he will not fail you and because you believe that his word is as good as done. The same is true of God. He promises to answer our prayers, and His promise is good enough to solicit gratitude from us. So after you have prayed and believed that you have received the answer, then thank Him for the answer and the answer will come!
PRAYER: Whatever you genuinely thank God for today shall manifest in your life this week, in Jesus name.
