(PRAYER AND FASTING DAY 10)

Esther 5:2 “When the king saw Queen Esther standing in the courtyard, she found favour in his eyes and the king held out the gold scepter that was in his hand to Esther. And Esther approached and touched the top of the scepter.”

As we proceed in exploring the benefits of prayer and fasting, one of these benefits I want us to examine today is:

* Favour

In the above text, we clearly see God’s provision in response to man's prayer and fasting. In response to Esther’s willingness to lay down her life to go see the king (Esther 4:16), when the king saw Queen Esther, instead of casting her out, he invited her in. She found favour in his eyes. Your time of favour has finally come, in Jesus name.

To further drive home this point, we also saw how passion drove Nehemiah into prayer and fasting for certain days when he heard of the deplorable state of the Jews that were left behind in Jerusalem after the captivity of Babylon (Neh 1:1-11). He took his life in his hand, as it were, by responding roughly to the questions of the king, but instead of being killed ended up having favour with the King (Neh 2:1-8).

Haven obtained favour from the king, Nehemiah took the lead in the rebuilding the broken walls of Jerusalem and in the process, the cup bearer emerged a governor within fifty-two days! (Neh 5:14). That is the realm I'm walking in from this fasting season and not only me but everyone reading this post today shall walk in favour this year and beyond in Jesus name.

PRAYER: You shall emerge a man/woman of favour from this fast, in Jesus name.

If you want us to pray with you, call us today between 12noon and 5pm on: +2348167589854.
