Gen 22:16-17 "And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven..."
God is not interested in just blessing you with His favour for a while, He wants you to enjoy His favour consistently. What are the things that keep one in the realm of consistent favour as we continue from yesterday?
3: OBEDIENCE:
Abraham enjoyed consistent favour with God because he lived an obedient life. Not only was he obedient, he promptly obeyed God to offer that same son he waited for 25 years to have as a sacrifice.
The Bible says: "And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."
"And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went unto the place of which God had told him" (Gen 2:22-23). God's favour on King Saul's to sit on the throne however was withdrawn due to his disobedience. Don't fall a victim of disobedience.
4: FORGIVENESS:
Joseph said: And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance (Gen 45:7). Despite all that Joseph's brothers did to him, he forgave them even when he had the opportunity to revenge for what they did to him.
Who are you still holding in your mind looking for opportunity to take revenge? Let him/her go if you will enjoy the continuous flow of God's favour like Joseph.
PRAYER: There shall be continuous flow of God's favour on your life in Jesus name.
