James 4:6 "But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."
Favour is a powerful tool in the Hands of God. God’s favour is the power that changes things for us and delivers things into our hands. Whatever you want to possess in life is possible on the basis of
God’s favour. The truth is that our efforts to acquire great possessions will amount to nothing, if we are not favoured by God. It will be an attempt in futility to labour without God’s favour. It is labour plus favour that makes life worth living! To attract this favour:
5: STAY HUMBLE
Grace in the above text means “God’s unmerited favour.” God pours out His favour upon those who keep a humble heart. One of the dangers we have to guard against if we must attract favour is pride. Pride will shut down the flow of God’s favour.
Always remember that God’s favour is not a result of anything you’ve done, but it is based on what Jesus has done. We activate it in our life by believing in Jesus and staying connected to Him in humility.
When someone asks you to do something and your immediate thought is: “I, out of all people, shouldn’t have to do that. That task is for someone else.” That is a sign of pride that you should deal with. This could rob you of favour. Next time this thought arises ask yourself: "If Jesus was willing to leave heaven and come to earth for me, then who am I to say I am too good to do what someone asks me to do?"
Get ready for the favour of God in your life. He wants to open up the windows of heaven and pour His favour upon your life.
PRAYER: You will not miss your own favour in Jesus name.
