Exo 3:21 “And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.”
Favour is a grace we all must consciously ask God for. Many people are gifted but many are also without favour. I want to let you know that talent, skill and knowledge you have cannot substitute your need for favour. They are good and can take us to certain places. However, the favour of God supersedes them all.
God’s favour plus your skill, talent and hard work will take you to greater heights. The patriarchs in the Bible were always conscious of the favour of God. They understood its covenant and effect in their lives. Another benefit of favour is:
3: SUPERNATURAL RESTORATION
One of the outstanding benefits of divine favour is the restoration of wasted years! God's heart is to restore to you whatever the locust (a picture of the enemy) has eaten, especially your lost years. If you have been living in regret over years you've lost to addiction, depression, or a never-ending series of failures, God is willing and able to turn things around for you now via His favour.
Favour produces restoration of everything that the enemy has stolen from you. The children of Israel in today's text had served the Egyptians for 430 years without adequate remuneration. But favour came on the scene and ensured that they did not go empty.
PRAYER: I pray for you today, you will not end this month/year empty in Jesus name.
