TEXT: "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever" (Exo 14:13).
I welcome you to the last week of July 2022, our month of Open Testimony. I pray for those whose testimonies have manifested, because what God does is forever, I decree that your testimonies are permanent, in Jesus name. For those that have not received their testimonies and are saying why is God's word not working in their lives? I want to let you know today that God is not a man that He should lie...(Num 23:19). What He says He will do in your life, He will still do it. He doesn't need any permission from nobody before He does what He says. So, relax in praise.
However, the scripture is full of principles that guarantee one's testimonies any day, anytime and in any circumstance. As we examine some of these principles this week, I urge you to put them to work, you will testify.
What are these principles?
1: FEAR NOT
Fear is the opposite of faith. You can't have faith and fear at the same time. Fear is not of God but of the devil. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2Tim 1:7). Fear is one of the devices the devil uses to hinder the children of God from receiving their desired testimonies. Fear brings doubt and doubt is a robber of miracles. That is why the Bible says: "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways" (Jam 1:6-8).
In the midst of impossible situation beloved, fear not. Always be conscious that God is in the midst of that storm with you. God is saying to you today that: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee" (Isaiah 43:1-3).
I define fear as: "Believing in the ability of the devil." When you believe in what the devil is capable of doing, that is fear. Faith on the other hand is: "Believing in the ability of God." That's my own definition of fear and faith. The report you believe determines your faith or fear. So, my question to you today is: whose report do you believe concerning that situation you're in? (Isaiah 53:1). Don't expect God to show up in your life when what you do is to fidget, complain and grumble out of fear and doubt. Your testimony is sure only when you embrace faith and do away with fear!
PRAYER: I pray for you that every spirit of fear that wants to rob you of your testimony is cast out today in Jesus name!
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
