TEXT: "And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them" (1Sam 30:21).

One of the ways to experience speedy and undeniable testimonies is to embrace forgiveness. Do not hold grudges against those you thought are in the position to help you in your crisis but did not. Some are willing to help out but could not at the time of your request. From the story of David in today's anchor scripture, the Bible says that when David and his soldiers were going after their enemies to recover what have been looted, 200 soldiers were too weak to go on in the journey, so they had to stay behind. On their return after the victory, David told the soldiers that went with him to share the spoil with the soldiers that stayed behind equally.

"Then answered all the wicked men and men of Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them ought of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them away, and depart. Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the Lord hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand. For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike" (1Sam 30:22-24). David was not angry with them.

Maybe you have been hurt by the actions or words of someone. Perhaps your parent constantly criticized you while growing up, a colleague sabotaged a project thereby putting you into trouble or your partner had an affair. Or maybe you've had a traumatic experience, such as being physically or emotionally abused by someone close to you. These wounds can leave you with lasting feelings of anger and bitterness or even vengeance. But if you don't embrace forgiveness, you might forfeit your long awaited testimony. By embracing forgiveness, you're embracing peace, hope and joy which has the capacity to provoke your desired testimonies. So, I say to you this morning, embrace forgiveness.

However, prayer and fasting guarantees supernatural health and vitality. The fasting period is a period of divine health and vitality. When one fasts, according to the word of God, his/her health springs forth speedily (Isaiah 58:6). This is because sickness like high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV, Sickle cell anaemia, etc., cannot survive God's Presence, they will simply die when you engage in fasting. I therefore declare that by reason of the fast that ends today, anything in your body that God did not plant there shall be rooted out today, in Jesus name!
