TEXT: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth" (Psalms 46:10)
Another word I want you to see with me this morning is the word: "...And Know that I am God." The scripture says: "Be still, and know that I am God..." The meaning is that for us to experience sudden divine intervention, we must come to a conscious awareness of what God can do for us in our time of difficulty. Lots of people are not sure of what God can do for them when they are faced with challenges of life. Little wonder you see them running from pillar to post looking for solution where there is none.
Beloved child of God, it is what you know that puts you above the situation you are passing through right now. When you know, you cannot be low. It is not how many places you've been in search of solution to your problem that counts or how many Pastors that have prayed for you, it is what you know about this God of sudden intervention that determines your solution. The word "Know-l-Edge" means "having an edge by what you know." It is what you know that gives you an edge over others. Knowledge of God gives you power over circumstances of life!
Another word I want to use to replace the word "know" to drive home my point this morning is the word "confidence." So, we can read the above anchor scripture as: "Be still and be confident that I am God..." This is the kind of knowing (confidence) that made the three Hebrews boys to say to Nebuchadnezar "we are not ready to bow, do your worse" (Dan 3). They knew beyond the shadow of doubt that God would deliver them even though they didn't know how. They were not afraid of the king or his fiery furnace. That is confidence in display. Confidence in God drives away fear and strengthens faith.
What you know determines your faith or fear. It determines what you face and dare or what you fear and run. God will not intervene in the life of the fearful, the ignorant and the cowards. You must be confident in God in the face of difficult situation even if you don't see help coming your way.
Please note that the knowledge here is not head-knowledge but heart-knowledge. Head knowledge does not guarantee sudden intervention and turnarounds, it's the heart knowledge that does. What God looks in you to determine His response to you in time of trials is what you know about Him in your heart and not what you know in your head. He responds to your heart knowledge and never your head knowledge. This is how it works!
PRAYER: The Lord will show Himself mighty on your behalf before the end of this month, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I will continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
