Luke 10:41 "And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things."
Anxiety is one of the tools the devil uses to rob one of his/her blessings in Christ. It weaken one's faith and when faith is weak, doubts and unbelief set in. When Jesus visited Mary and Martha in their home, Mary
sat at Jesus’ feet while Martha was full of activities born out of worry.
Martha said in verse 40: “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? She was anxious about serving. But Jesus replied in verse 42 said: “Martha, Martha, you are ANXIOUS and TROUBLED about many things, but one thing is necessary..." A man who's anxious is full of trouble. Jesus said “one thing is necessary. This means anxiety is unnecessary. Had Martha chosen to sit at the feet of Jesus, she would have made the best choice. Choose to spend time with Jesus more than mere activities.
Satan is using anxiety to get the best of us today, and many are not doing what God wants them to do because of this reason. Don’t be anxious about anything if God is telling you to take any step. Don't be anxious if He tells you what to do. If God wants you to take a step in any direction, He already has your path set. All you have to do is walk on His path. He will take care of you! Give God your anxiety in prayer and let Him lead you.
Anxiety does not add to life; it rather reduces it (Matt 6:27). Avoid it at all cost! As you launch out with His instructions from now, whatever problems that may arise on your path, remember that if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Trust Him more and obey Him!
PRAYER: You're free from anxiety today in Jesus name.
