Acts 4:23 "And being let go, THEY WENT TO THEIR OWN COMPANY, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them."

Glory to God for the secrets He has so far revealed to us by His Spirit. It is a privilege that we know all of these. Jesus said: "Unto you it is given to know
the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables" (Mark 4:11).

What is the Spirit of God revealing to us today? Looking at our text for today, the disciples demonstrated the power of God in their lives because they belonged to the right company. They were threatened by the opposition to silence their mission but because of the right company they belonged, God stepped in and not just power but greater power was released on them. How do I know? It was recorded in verse 33 that: "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus..."

Beloved, one of the secrets to the release of power in your life is keeping the right company. The company you keep determines what accompany you. Who are your close friends? Your friends determines who you really are or who you will definitely become in nearby future. The Bible says: "He that walks with the wise shall be wise..." (Pro 12:20). When situations of life threaten you, who and where do you go to? Who do you share your problems with? Peter and John returned to the company of like minds.

Beloved, who you share your dream with will determine the power that will be dispatched for its manifestation or its termination. Some go to native doctors to seek for power to fulfil God's vision. What kind of power will they have? Some others go outside the will of God in search for ways on how to actualize their dreams. If you must operate in power, mind who you share with and where you go to. The apostles went to their company and the matter shared was handled on the altar of prayer.

My conclusion is this: "You are as good or bad as the company you keep." Don't let the company of people you keep keep you down. Friendship is not by force, but by choice. Be wise!

PRAYER: You're delivered from bad company today in the name of Jesus.
