THE NEED FOR POWER

Friday June 21st, 2019
By Pst Israel Olorunfemi

John 1:12 "But as many as received Him, to them gave He POWER TO BECOME the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name."

There's need for us to know the importance of power in our journey in life. If you know what you stand to gain when empowered, you will long to have it daily. God says, my people are destroyed for
LACK OF KNOWLEDGE (Hosea 4:6). Lack of knowledge and not lack of prayer.

One can be praying and still be defeated when he/she lacks knowledge on how or what to pray. This is the reason why the Holy Ghost was given, to help our weaknesses in prayer (Rom 8:26). Being empowered is not optional. Jesus said, those that believed are empowered to become what they believed. It is one thing to believe what God says and another to become what is said. This is the reason why we have many frustrated believers today; they believe, they say, but lack the power to become.

Do you long to see God at work in your life this year? Do you want to see His promises in practical terms? Do you want to bring forth your dreams and vision? Then, empowerment is not an option. Jesus was known as a Carpenter's son for 30years; but when the Holy Ghost descended upon Him at river Jordan, went to the wilderness, He returned in the power of the Holy Ghost; and His fame went abroad (Matt 3:16-17; Lk 4:1-14).

Jesus' destiny opened up when He was empowered. If He couldn't become what He came here for until power came, then, you cannot become what God says concerning you without power.

PRAYER: The power that will make you fulfill destiny shall rest upon you todat in Jesus Name!
