TEXT: "When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip..." (John 6:5)
The multiplication that is reserved for every member of the Morning Tea Devotional Family this month and onwards is not the multiplication that comes from careful gathering and savings neither is it the multiplication that comes from stealing and 419. It is the multiplication that comes basically out of divine providence. Any increase or multiplication that is not traceable to God will vanish like vapour, it is just a matter of time. I want us to examine the 2nd secret in the story of the feeding of five thousand men. The first secret I pointed out on Friday is that the men were told to sit down! Pls refer to MTD of Friday 9th.
Another secret that the Holy Ghost opened my eyes to see is that:
JESUS LIFTED UP HIS EYES
When Jesus was faced with the challenge of feeding five thousand men, the Bible says He lifted up His eyes refusing to look at the circumstance. The lesson here is that we should learn to lift up our eyes to God and not to what we have if what we have will multiply. The Bible says that by strength shall no man prevail (1Sam 2:9). You don't have to live your life on addition and subtraction of your resources. God is able to multiply all grace towards you. Likewise, in every situation you find yourself, look unto Him.
No matter the circumstance you are currently facing, looking unto Jesus is one thing you can be sure is good, right and helpful. To look unto someone is to turn to the person, expecting assistance. So, when you are looking unto Jesus, you’re actually turning to Him for help. Jesus turned to God and the miracle of multiplication took place. When you turn to God with the little you have, He will multiply it back to you. The reason why you need to look unto God is because He is the only one who can multiply your resources. He is the author and finisher of your faith. There’s no other.
Another reason you should look unto God is to receive instruction from Him on what to do with what you have, and be ready to obey Him. When you obey every instruction from God concerning the little you have, you will enjoy unlimited increase.
PRAYER: Every blindfolding power of darkness against your increase is destroyed today, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
