EVIDENCE OF LOVE

TEXT: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

Supernatural multiplication answers to those who love God wholeheartedly. As mentioned yesterday, our love for God is tested and proven by our unreserved and timely obedience to His instructions. True love cannot be hidden; it is expressed both in words and in actions. It is not enough to sing and say that we love God; we must also put action to it. What is another proof of our love for God that I want us to examine today?

Today's anchor scripture shows that giving is a proof of love. It says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16)

Giving is an expression of love. You cannot have true love for someone and not give to the person. So also, you cannot love God and not give to Him and for His kingdom work. Giving is one of the proofs of your love for God. If you love Him, you will give without being coerced to do so. If you truly love Him, you will not complain when giving to God is mentioned rather, it will be a thing of Joy to you to do so. God first loved us (1John 4:19) and gave His only Son for us all. And He had promised that if He could give His only son then, there is nothing He cannot freely give us (Rom 8:32). Love is a giver and if you love God you will be a giver too.

God expects us to give willingly, cheerfully, bountifully and consistently, according to what we have and not according to what you don’t have (2Cor 9:6-7, 8:12). Giving is a test of the sincerity of our love for God (2Cor 8:8). Giving is of God and anybody who is of God should also learn to give to God and for His work without reservation.

Now that you know the proofs of love for God, it is wisdom for you to be part of those who love God and express it by their actions and not only in words.

PRAYER: As you demonstrate your love for God by your tireless giving to Him and His work, you shall be distinguished for lifting this month and always, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
