TEXT: "And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand" (John 6:10)
As I was going through this scripture again yesterday, the Holy Ghost opened my eyes to other secrets that guarantee multiplication in one's life. Let's see one of those secrets today:
THE MEN WERE TOLD TO SIT DOWN
* It takes humility to sit down. These people had a choice to complain and murmur especially because they were hungry but they chose to sit down. How will you have reacted if you were in their shoes? They agreed to sit down as instructed and their obedience provoked the flow of strange increase for them. They ate and ate and were satisfied. Many today are so proud with what they have and this has caused them to miss out of strange increases that God has for them. Nothing that you own today that is not from God beloved. So, why boasting as if you have them by your own power? Be humble before you're humbled. Humble yourself today and God will lift you beyond your widest imagination!
* To sit down here also means to stay with God. They sat down in the Presence of Jesus. How many are really ready to stay with God in our today's world? We are always running from pillar to post searching for how to increase our resources. Remember, it is the blessing of the Lord that makes us rich and not our strength or by calculations. Why don't you sit down with this God of multiplication so as to receive instructions from Him that will take your business, career, ministry and finaces forward? We are full of daily activities with little or no time for God. The apostles said: "....But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word" (Acts 6:4). The apostles were ready to sit down with God. No wonder they increased exceedingly.
PRAYER: It is your turn for strange increase, in Jesus name!
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
