TEXT: "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness..." (Isaiah 61:3)

To begin with, let me remind you that this month of August is our month of Wonders through Praise. As we praise God this month and onwards, our lives shall be full of wonders, in Jesus name. Praise carries enormous power to turn things around for our good and it is the most powerful weapon of war available to us. But the devil is working day and night to keep us from praising God. He has mapped out strategies to keep us off praise frequency. Among his tricks is to weigh us down with HEAVINESS. According to today's anchor scripture, heaviness is a spirit. It is one of the key strategies of Satan to rob us of genuine praise. The devil knows that with the spirit of heaviness in you, God is absent, and when God is absent, you become a cheap prey in his hands. He won't get you, in Jesus name. 

Also God said in today's anchor scripture that He has given us the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness (Isa 61:3). If He has given it to us, then be sure, He will not take it away. The devil is the one that steals joy, so that he can make victims of people. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of joy. If you lost your joy, Satan has stolen it. Every time you cannot find joy, the devil is at work (John 10:10). That is the time to rise against the devil and take back your joy. It is not the time to apportion blames or to be downcast.

Say: "I take my joy back." It is restored, in Jesus name. 

The important part of spiritual warfare is to step back and praise God, even in the worse of trouble instead of giving in to the spirit of heaviness. When one is very sick, facing extreme problems or even feeling overwhelmed by the situation around, nothing brings more joy to us than taking time to praise God.

Arise now and give God praise!

PRAYER: I terminate the spirit of heaviness and depression and decree the restoration of your joy, in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2022, I am more than conqueror by the Power of the Holy Spirit therefore I shall continue to celebrate all through the year, hallelujah!
