TEXT: "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies" (Psalms 41:1-2)

Giving lifestyle has a way of provoking God's favour. We have examples in the Bible where giving lifestyle of individuals provoked God's unusual miracle in their lives (I will mention two of them in point 1 below). Giving has the capacity to bring you before great men by favour.

There are three channels of giving that provokes divine favour:

(1) Prophet Offering: The widow of Zarephath and the Shunamite woman enjoyed strange order of favour by reason of what they gave to prophets Elijah and Elisha respectively (1Kgs 17:10-24 & 2Kgs 4:1-37). They showed kindness to them and this provoked God's kindness to them; their needs were supernaturally met.

(2) Giving to the needy: When you give to the needy, you're provoking the favour of God. The Bible says: "He that hath pity upon the poor(needy) lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again" (Pro 19:17). Give to the needs of men when you noticed them, especially those in the household of faith.

(3) Giving to your Parents: The Bible says: “Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise) that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth" (Eph 6:2-3). Don't shy. Stop saying their wickedness is the reason behind your situation. No, your negligence to take care of them is why your situation remains. Give to them irrespective of their wealth or 'wickedness' and you will provoke the favour of God.

PRAYER: Grace to put the above to work is released in Jesus name.
