TEXT: "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" (Luke 2:52)

One of the virtues that Jesus possesses is wisdom and in scriptures, wisdom attracts favour. Today's anchor scripture says that Jesus was in favour with God and man as a result of His increase in Wisdom. We also understand from scripture that wisdom begins with the fear of God. "The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom" (Ps 111:10)

It is important to know also that one of the pillars of wisdom is diligence. What is diligence? Diligence is showing perseverance at what one does. In Biblical sense, diligence is a persevering application of the word of God. Not only does it mean perseverance at something, it also connotes discipline.

“He that diligently seeks good procures favour:.." (Pro 11:27). The diligent always obtains favour with God and man. God's agenda for us this month is for us to be lifted by divine favour, however, our diligence is the key! Those who are diligent in all their affairs always end as candidates of favour.

Be diligent in the assignment of your life and the work of your hands. Give it what it takes. Deploy your energy in what you do for maximum results. Morning Tea Devotional is a product of grace but we have been diligent under God for 8 years now. "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might..." (Eccl 9:10). Be diligent in the development of yourself. Increase in the knowledge of what you do, your gift, talents and potentials. David developed himself until he was number one in Israel in playing the instrument (1Sam 16:18). Beloved, come to a level in your life and profession where you can be considered first amongst every other person.

PRAYER: Receive grace to be diligent in life and assignment, in Jesus name.
