TEXT: "For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them." (Isaiah 61:7)
We are redeemed unto honour. Honour is the opposite of shame. Many today are suffering from shame and reproach instead of honour. Have you been humiliated in your home due to the delay in child bearing? Have you been reproached because you are single and yet to marry? Are you being mocked due to the way things are right now? The good news is that for every shame of your life, you shall have double honour this month and this year, in Jesus name.
One of the privileges of our redemption is God bestowing His honour upon us. When God bestows His honour upon you, what you enjoy is distinguished respect and dignity. Beloved, life is worthless without divine honour. Honour from God is greater and better than honour from man. Honour from man is most time political and hypocritical. But when God honours you, your life will be meaningful.
Those that received divine honour in scriptures were distinguished in their generations. E.g. Joshua. “And the LORD said unto Joshua, this day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee”(Joshua 3:7). Our Lord Jesus enjoyed divine honour. “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name, which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of all things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”(Phil 2:9-10). God honours those that honour Him. How to honour God shall be our focus on Monday God's willing.
PRAYER: Divine honour is your portion from today, in Jesus name.
