TEXT: "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God" (Rom 4:20)
Welcome to this new week, a week that will mark the beginning of new things in your life, in Jesus name. I want to continue from where I stopped last Friday on the benefits of the blessing we're redeemed to inherit using the life of Abraham, a man who carried God's blessing bodily as a case study.
One of the blessings of Abraham is PEACE. This peace is not the mechanical type but the one that comes from God which flow within like a river. This peace is a spiritual virtue which is why it is listed as one of the fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22). Abraham, a carrier of the blessing of God staggered not at the promise because he was at peace that God is able to do what He says He would do. This peace is not a temporal peace that is on today and off tomorrow. This peace is imparted when you accept Jesus, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
Peace is one of the most valuable assets in the journey of life. Your destiny will be in pieces when peace is lacking. The peace of God in your life sets the pace for divine intervention. If you want God's intervention like Abraham had, then be still and be at peace within you. Ps 46:10 says "Be still, and know that I am God..." If you want God to fight for you, then hold your peace (Ex 14:14). When you are anxious, you disconnect yourself from God but, when you are at peace, it sets a pace for answered prayer. As soon as Eli spoke to Hannah, she was at peace, her countenance was no more sad and God intervened, her Samuel came forth.
PRAYER: I decree peace in and around you today and always, in Jesus name.
