YOUR SACRIFICE SHALL BE REWARDED

TEXT: "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (Heb 6:10).

I like to remind all lovers of Morning Tea Devotional that this year is our year of Divine Compensation. The meaning is that all your labour to promote the work of God on earth shall be fully rewarded. Everything you do or sacrifice for the sake of the gospel is not only recorded, the Lord also rewards you for it. The Bible says: "...and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord..." (Mal 3:16b).

This brings to mind Peter’s encounter with the Lord at the lake of Gennesaret: “And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake...And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land...” (Lk 5:1-3). Peter and his company had just returned from a fruitless all-night fishing. So, his decision to allow the Master to use his boat was not an easy one. But thank God He did!

The Bible says after Jesus preached to the crowd from Peter’s boat, He told Peter to launch out into the deep for a great catch (Luke 5:6-7). Remember, he had toiled all night and caught nothing. But suddenly, he had so much, just because of what He did for the Master.

Beloved, what sacrifices have you made or willing to make for the sake of the gospel? It could be your time, money, family, friends and relationships you gave up, whatever it is, God will reward you.

PRAYER: Your rewards shall begin to manifest in Jesus name.
