GOD, THE SOURCE OF ALL ROUND FRUITFULNESS

TEXT: "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5).

There is only one source that guarantees all round fruitfulness in life and that is Jehovah God. Just as a branch of tree cannot bear fruits when it's detached from the main tree, so also a man cannot bear fruits when he's detached from his Maker. You need to be aware that God is the authentic source of fruitfulness if you will bear fruit in life.

It is alarming to see how man relies on money, connection, education, magical power, political power and so many other things as means through which they will be fruitful. The truth is, these will fail you if they are your hope. Psalmist said "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and falling: but we are risen, and stand upright" (Ps 20:7-8). The only source that cannot fail is when your hope is in God.

Don't get connected to what will disconnect you from God. Seeking demonic power as a means to be fruitful is a journey to hell. Working hard to be intellectually sound at the expense of spiritual knowledge will limit you in life. "For bodily exercise (education, connections, etc) profits little: but godliness is profitable unto ALL THINGS" (1Tim 4:8). The world should look for solutions from the Church and not the other way round.

I close with this; Jesus says: "Without me, you can do nothing" (John 15:5b). Irrespective of your connections or power, whether political, intellectual or magical, there's no guarantee for your fruitfulness without God.

PRAYER: Grace to stay connected to God is yours today, in Jesus name.
