TEXT: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3John 2)

I want to start by saying that God never looked down on material prosperity. In fact we understand from scriptures that many of the people that walked with God were abundantly blessed materially. Proverbs 10:15 says: "The rich mans wealth is his strong city; The destruction of the poor is their poverty." Financial or material prosperity were always one of the signs of God's blessing. God wants to bless His people with abundance. His promise to the children of Israel on entering the promised land is that it would be a land that would flow with milk and honey. God wants to bless you with wealth such that those around you will feel the impact.

Solomon is a good example of this. He was the richest man on earth at that time and the queen of Sheba said, "Even your slaves are happy!" Why wouldn't they be happy? Because of Solomon, the whole country was blessed. The economy was booming, and they continually heard the wisdom of God through Solomon's mouth. That is an example of material fruitfulness that God purposed for us.

Too many Christians are operating in a poverty mentality while the devil’s followers live the best life possible. Our inheritance as sons and daughters of the King of all kings is a life free from want and poverty. Psalms 24:1 says: “The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof...” God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Have you ever wondered what all those cows are for? They are for us, His children. This means, material fruitfulness is God's will for me.

PRAYER: You will never be poor in life, in Jesus name.
