TEXT: "And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad" (Esther 8:5).

It is our year of Divine Compensation. I want to let you know that serving God is the most profitable labour one can engage in. God in His word promises to compensate those who diligently serve (seek) Him (Heb 11:6). The diligence mentioned here connotes going beyond convenience. Serving God conveniently has no rewards in view, beloved. Those who go beyond convenience are guaranteed reward.

There are two dangers I want you to avoid in your service to God. They are: GIVING UP and WEARINESS. Whatever you are doing to support the work of God in your local Church, Morning Tea Devotional or to humanity, don't give up and don't be weary, in due season, your rewards shall manifest.

A good example of this is the life of Mordecai in our anchor scripture for today. Though God was not mentioned but you can be sure that He caused the king to reward Mordecai for the good he had done. "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Gal 6:9).

The blessing in divine compensation is that it is generational! It goes beyond you. Beloved, don't stop serving God with your time, talent and resources, your reward will surely come. The greater your sacrifice to God and to His kingdom business, the greater the reward God turns to you. Have confidence therefore that you cannot be cheated by God when serving Him with what you have and in whatever capacity you find yourself. Believe that He is, and that He is your rewarder!

PRAYER: It is your year of divine compensation, in Jesus name.
