Job 14:7 “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease."
I will like to point out some of the enemies of genuine thanksgiving. People who are ungrateful today are trapped down by some of these enemies. These enemies are like cancer that eats one's spirit and if not tackled, they can take life out of one. Satan will never want you to be thankful to God. That's a fact. He always wants you to see what God has not done for you. He will tell you why will you thank God when this or that has not happened. Please guard against his tricks.
One of the enemies of thanksgiving is HOPELESSNESS. The reason why many are ungrateful to God is because they lack hope. When you are hopeful, you will be grateful. When you are hopeful you will be fruitful and you can't be fruitful and not be grateful to the One who made it happen. With hope, your faith is energized. Hope fertilizes your faith to approach God. If hope is not in place, you will be cut off from faith.
However, what keeps your hope alive is the revelation of your future from scriptures. A student of the word of God is always hopeful. You must therefore study the word of God to generate hope that will fertilize your faith. When you are hopeful, you will be grateful. You should be hopeful because His word concerning you is forever settled! Come on! Rise and give Him praise in the dance.
PRAYER: Your case has just been remembered for settlement now in Jesus name!
