TEXT: "Then Peter said to him, “We’ve given up everything to follow you. What will we get?” (Matt 19:27 NLT).

As we draw the curtain for the month today, I want to assure you that this year 2021, is your year of Divine Compensation, saith the Lord! (Matt 19:27-28).

Peter, like many of us do today, asked Jesus “Master, what is our reward for supporting the gospel?" Peter considered the opportunity cost for following Jesus and wanted to know how profitable his support for the gospel would be in the end.  In the same way, we are sometimes attempted to rethink about some sacrifices we make to support God’s work.

Jesus’ response to Peter’s question was remarkable. He replied “everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.” (Matt 19:29 NLT).

Beloved, whatever you have given up for Jesus’ sake (talent, time or resources), you will receive a hundred times as much on earth, and you will inherit eternal life. In other words, there are bountiful rewards for you for your sacrificial giving to support the work of God. I don’t know how He is going to do it but one thing is certain; God’s Word can be trusted.

My question to you now is: What have you given up for Jesus’ sake? Be encouraged because nothing is wasted. God will fully compensate you for promoting His Kingdom business. Don’t give up doing what you know best to promote the work of God. You shall be fully compensated!

PRAYER: Your rewards this year shall terminate your years of struggle in Jesus name.
