TEXT: "The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust" (Ruth 2:12).

Let me remind us again of the prophetic focus for MTD for the year 2021. This is to empower our expectations. God said, this year 2021, in MTD Family, is our year of: "Divine Compensation" (Matt 19:27-28). He is too faithful to fail us.

Sometimes many people keep labouring for God, and it looks as if their labour is in vain. They can’t see any encouraging rewards for their labour. This could be frustrating and not everyone in this kind of situation continues to labour in view of the huge discouragement. God however, is the best employer! His ways are, most times, difficult for us to understand. If you are working in God’s vineyard and are surrounded by discouraging circumstances, be comforted because God is seeing your work. In Jesus’ letter to the churches of Asia in the book of Revelations, one recurring phrase is “I know your works.”

God never forgets the labour of His workers. Keep working for God, even when it seems your labour is not rewarded. God says, “I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain...” (Isaiah 45:19). The LORD will not violate His Word. He says the labourer is worthy of his wages (Luke 10:7). He speaks against those who cheat employees of their wages in Malachi 3:5. How can the same God deny you your reward?

God will compensate you. “Never be lazy in your work (for God), but serve the Lord enthusiastically” (Rom 12:11 NLT). Don’t be discouraged “For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love. 

PRAYER: You shall be fully and speedily compensated this year, in Jesus name.
