TEXT: "It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not" (Lam 3:22).

Let me start by saying that God's mercy is more than a practice; it is a working spirit that sees us through difficult times. When we fall short of God’s glory, His mercy draws us back to Him. Many are the battles we face, but by God’s mercy, we come out alive. By the mercies of God, we can boldly say that we were troubled on every side, yet not distressed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not forsaken and cast down, but not destroyed. Hallelujah! Glory to His name.
Beloved, our self righteousness and human efforts did not give us access to the unfailing Mercy of God, it is Christ’s victory over death on the cross that tore the curtains and gave us access that allows us to see and enjoy all the benefits and blessings of God. For this reason, we can boldly access God’s throne and receive His mercy and grace in the time of need (Heb 4:16).

Unfortunately today we see people abusing the mercies of God by living a lifestyle of sin. A life of persistent sin is an abuse of mercy. Yes, it is. We can't continue in sin and expect grace and mercy of God to abound (Rom 6:1). When you're delivered from any affliction or demonic oppression, God expects that you stay delivered by constant reloading your spirit with His word. Lifestyle of sin is an abuse of mercy. Repent today.

PRAYER: Grace to stay pure in the midst of corrupt practices is yours today, in Jesus name.
