TEXT: "But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen" (Hos 1:7).

We give glory to God for His mercy in our lives. We are alive today because His mercy kept us. What are other benefits of God's mercy as we proceed from last week?

3. Deliverance. The mercy of God has the capacity to deliver us from danger, captivity and bondage. In today's anchor scripture, the God said: “Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword or battle, by horses or horsemen” (Hosea 1:7). God’s deliverance is not limited to the Old Testament house of Judah. Judah actually means praise. The meaning is, if you will praise God, you will experience His deliverance. God is still delivering His children today by His mercy. You shall be the next.

4. Favour. The mercy of God causes people to show you favour. Sometimes the mercy of God ensures that we don’t receive what we deserve negatively. When God favours you by His mercy, men shall also favour you. Moreover, you will begin to record outstanding results that are far beyond human efforts. You will reap where you have not sown! “So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers..., to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant…” (Deut 6:10-11). These shall be your experience this week.

PRAYER: Deliverance from dangers and favour shall speak for you by the force of mercy this week, in Jesus name.
