TOPIC: WAIT ON HIM

Psalms 40:1 "I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry."

Waiting on God will always result in having the last laugh.

Sarah waited and she laughed at the end. Sometimes it could be very difficult, but you just have to wait. That is just God’s way. If you expect a miracle from Him you must learn to be patient. His ways and timing are often different from ours. We often think that God is delaying in fulfilling His promises, but it is not true. He only allows us and His promises to go through processes before manifestation. He works and watches over His words to bring them to pass.

You can ask the great men and women that walked with God, if they are sincere with you, they will tell you that they all had periods of waiting. Wait on Him. Wait in patience. Wait in expectation. Because He will surely come! Are people laughing at you? Don't seek alternative ways out of your challenges and forget God. Hannah was laughed at. She was mocked by Peninnah, her co-wife that she wept and wept, and refused to eat. Who knows the words she was using to ridicule her? She must have called her Hannah the barren or used non-verbal actions.

Thank God that Hannah held onto the God of Shiloh. And just in one night, that reproach was humiliated. God put laughter on her lips. She began to sing a new song. She had her first son – Samuel. God gave her the child that grew up to become one of the greatest prophets ever-lived. If only you can wait patiently, you will laugh last.
