Psalm 92:12 "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."

Having known last Friday that righteousness is not in what we do but in what Christ has done, let's see the benefits
of righteousness. When you are righteous, you will flourish like the palm tree. To flourish is to develop with vigour, to do well or thrive. The Bible likens this development to that of a palm tree. Why? Palm trees are not affected by climatic condition. They produce even in the hashest whether. That is what you gain when you're righteous.

Secondly, righteousness instills boldness. The scripture says "The righteous are as bold as a lion" (Pro 28:1). Boldness is a vital force in winning any battle in life. This boldness is liken to a lion. Lion is the strongest among beast, it turns not away for any (Pro 30:30). Many are losing daily in the battles of life due to lack of boldness. You need to boldly confront what is confronting you in order to win in life. The secret to this boldness is righteousness.

Thirdly, you enjoy unlimited favour. Psalm 5:12 says "For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield." Favour will come and overtake you when you embrace and maintain your righteousness in Christ.
