Rom 14:17 "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."
From the above scripture, righteousness is what qualifies us for laughter. He that sits
in heaven shall laugh and the kingdom of God (heaven) is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The Lord will impart you with His righteousness today and break every addiction to sin in your life in Jesus name.
Righteousness is a gift, not what you earn. It is not what you do but what you have become. You can be full of good deeds and still not righteous before God. Apostle Paul said: "For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth (Rom 10:2-4).
A lot of people today focus on dos and don'ts to be righteous. Your 'doing' is not as important as your 'being.' What you be is what influences what you do. If you 'live right' you will 'do right.' We are not righteous because of what we do, our righteousness is based on what Jesus did. So, the day you accepted Jesus, you were declared righteous. Salvation is the first step to righteousness. If you are not saved, even if you are full of good deeds, you are still unrighteous.
