3John 2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
Let me start by saying that nobody really wants to be sick. The earnest desire of everyone is to be healthy. If this is your desire, I want to say congratulations because the Lord that heals is visiting you right now and every health challenge shall turn into a testimony.
Be aware that sickness is a waster. Reject it with everything in you. It is a waster of money, strength and time. In fact, it is a waster of everything that is wastable. That is why today's text and the anchor scripture for the month says you should not only prosper, also be in good health else that financial strength you have will soon come under threat.
No one is said to be enjoying wealth when he/she is having underlining health challenges because the wealth he/she has can be wasted in a matter of days. Do you remember the story of woman with the issue of blood?
"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse" (Mk 5:25-26).
This woman spent all that she had, yet no solution. She was tired, worn out, and intensely lonely. But the good thing about this woman is that she was desperate. She lost all that she had but kept her desperation. It is desperation that drives complacency and self-pity away.
Sickness is a waster of wealth. I challenge you to get provoked this month. A sick person in the hospital is referred to as patient. Pls loose your patience and be desperate to come out of that bondage. Enough of the waste.
PRAYER: You shall not spend your money on sickness again in Jesus name.
