Exo 23:25 "And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee."
From scriptures, we discover that God always relate with His people on the basis of covenant. He entered into covenant relationships with the children of Israel as found in the books of the Old Testament. One of such covenants is that of good health as seen in today's text. He is like saying: 'If you can serve me, I will ensure you don't fall sick.' He kept to His words (Ps 105:37).
The good news is that as long as we serve God faithfully; sickness, disease, affliction from any virus and such like shall not and cannot have dominion over us. Hallelujah!
Beloved, if sickness is taken away from you by God, what you have left is total health. If you are involved in God’s service, you are entitled to it. But the question is, are you in God's service? You need to have an answer to this because the term of the covenant here is service to God. If that is successfully carried out, then God will take care of His own side.
The Bible says: "…a faithful ambassador is health" (Prov 13:17). This means anyone serving God faithfully will be healthy. An ambassador is a representative of a country in another country. According to scriptures, we're ambassadors of Christ at redemption (2Cor 5:20). Therefore, health is ours by right.
Very importantly too, service to God includes the use of our God given resources like time, strength, talents and finances in promoting the kingdom of God. As you do, your total health is guaranteed.
PRAYER: Grace to remain in service to God is yours today in Jesus name.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
