DEAL WITH SIN TO STAY HEALTHY

Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of  God."


Sin is one of the loopholes the devil passes through to inflict people with sickness and disease. If you study your Bible very well, you will discover that there was no sickness in the world until Adam sinned. Adam was in a state of perfection and absolute health. It was when he sinned that sickness came in.

A man that is not born again is not regenerated and as such cannot enjoy total health that is exclusively reserved for the sons of God. Today's text says man sinned and fell short of God's glory. No man can enjoy total health if sin in his life is not dealt with. There was no sickness before sin and if sickness must go, sin must first be dealt with.

The good news is, sin has been taken care of by Jesus Christ when He was hung on the Cross. The Bibles says: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the  chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his  stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). The price for sin and its consequences has been fully paid.

The implication of this is, if you have not yet come under the atoning blood of Jesus, if you're still living in sin, you can't enjoy the privilege of total health. But if you have, it then means that the sickness in your body has no legal right to hold you down.
