QUALITIES THAT GUARANTEE SUPERNATURAL INCREASE

Luke 8:15 "But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, kept it, and bring forth fruit with patience."


Looking at the four categories of people Jesus listed in the parable of the sower, only the people mentioned in today's text enjoyed increase in return of their seed. However, they possessed certain qualities that our Lord Jesus mentioned. I want us to examine these qualities this morning.

First is honesty (read today's text again). Beloved, you must be an honest person to experience supernatural increase. Be honest with the people you're dealing with for God to increase you. To be honest is to be sincere, plain, transparent and free of deceit. You can't enjoy increase when you say A and what you actually mean is B.

Secondly, you need to possess a good heart to enjoy increase. This is vital because you can't expect to see increase when your heart is occupied with lack. What occupies your heart will naturally find expression in your mouth. If you speak lack always, it's because your heart is full of it. So, guard your heart! (Pro 4:23).

Thirdly, possess the ability to retain the word of God in your spirit. Many are giving but lack adequate word of God to nurture their seeds to maturity. It is the word of God you keep in your heart and express with your mouth that waters your seed. When your seed is planted, water it with the word of God and God will command the increase (Ps 119:11; 1 Cor 3:6).

The fourth quality is patience. You obtain the promise through faith and patience (Heb 6:12). With these in you, supernatural increase is guaranteed.

PRAYER: Supernatural increase is yours this week, in Jesus name.
