GUARD AGAINST DISCOURAGEMENT

Num 21:4b "...and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way."


As we move further to taking advantage of our appointed time for our testimonies this month, it is important that we deal with the spirit of discouragement. It is a tool in the hand of the devil, to bring one down and to rob one of his/her testimonies. Acts of suicide in some parts of the world today is rooted in discouragement. It has no respect for title, name, or position.

When discouragement is not well managed, it graduates to depression and depression leads to hypertension which ultimately results to untimely death. That won't be you, in Jesus name. Nobody is discouraged when things are well. Every discouragement comes because of the way things are. The Bible says “…… and the soul of the people was much discouraged BECAUSE OF THE WAY” (Num. 21:4b).

You must guard against the spirit of discouragement if you will experience turnaround. When you are discouraged, you will be tempted to speaks against God. The reason is, the spirit of discouragement will never let you see what God has done or is doing for you, but what He has not done or yet to do. When you are discouraged, you will see everyone around you as a suspect. Has it ever happened to you?

When you are discouraged, you can’t hear from God either. You will find yourself angry with everyone around you without any reason to. And the anger (wrath) of a man works not the righteousness of God (Jam 1:20). King David, the great Psalmist overcame discouragement because he remembered the MANY THINGS that God has done (Read Ps 40:5). Deal with discouragement and your miracle will manifest.

PRAYER: You're free from discouragement, in Jesus name.
