THE INCREASE OF ISAAC

TEXT: "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him" (Gen 26:12).

The subject of multiplication or increase can not be thoroughly dealt with without talking of sowing and reaping. It is true that some people don't want to hear about giving but the scripture cannot be broken. What is not given away cannot increase, that is biblical principle. Don't choose the part of the scripture to obey. If you will see God's acts in your life, you must be ready to accept and obey every part of scripture including giving and receiving.

Today, I want to use the story of Isaac as a case study. He commanded supernatural increase because he did what others were not ready to do. What did he do? He sowed in famine. Beloved, your spiritual life may be growing robustly, you may even be a tongue talking believer, but if you’re not ready to release the seeds in your hand, supernatural multiplication 'may' never come your way.

Giving sacrificially is one of the best ways to get heaven's increase. No one can enter into the realm of multiplication without sacrificial giving. Solomon as a good example gave one thousand burnt offerings to God and in his lifetime entered realms of immeasurable wealth (2Chro 1:1-12). One of the indisputable laws of harvest as seen in scripture is that the size of the seeds you sow determines the size of your harvests (2Cor 9:6). If you will command increase, be prepared to give sacrificially to God, to His cause and to the needy that you come across.

PRAYER: I pray that the seed you sow to God, His cause and to humanity shall bring to you bountiful harvest this month in Jesus name!
