Psalm 119:34 "Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart."
Understanding is said to be the secret behind any outstanding endeavor. Thanksgiving is a mystery as we pointed out yesterday. What is a mystery? A mystery is a hidden secret. There is a secret that can put anyone above the circumstances of life and that secret is thanksgiving.
What is Thanksgiving as taught by Bishop Abioye? He said:
1: Thanksgiving is: "Appreciating God for a small thing in a big way." Lots of us take the acts of God in our lives as insignificant. If you thank God because He blessed you with a thousand Naira the way you would if He blesses with a million Naira, you are on your way to getting the blessing of a million Naira. People often ignore the so-called small thing, fixing their eyes on the big thing and they are frustrated at the end. Learn to celebrate every act of God in a big way no matter how small it is. And of course, no act of God should be considered small.
My dear reader, if you want to see the mighty acts of God in your life, thank Him in a big way for the things He has done in your life. David Oyedepo Jnr said: "What God gives to you first is not His best but a test to see whether you are ready for the rest." The truth is, God will not release the next miracle unless you thank Him for the previous one.
So, beloved, count your blessings and name them one by one today as we round up our prayer and fasting, and give Him quality thanks.
PRAYER: I see God multiplying what you thank Him for this morning in Jesus name.
