TOPIC: THE POWER OF HOPE
Rom 4:18 "Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be."
As we begin to round up for the month, I want to say that testimony is for the hopeful. When you're hopeless you will be helpless. The reason many are not experiencing testimonies is because they are hopeless. When hope is not in place, faith is impotent. It is hope that fertilizes faith. What is hope? Hope is having confidence in the future. It is to believe that there is a way out, not minding the situations.
Hope does not work without faith. Today's text puts the word believe inside of hope. It says, “Abraham believed in hope.” This means that hope partners with faith in order to produce results. Until you build up hope, neglecting the circumstances you find yourself in, you cannot experience a way out. Until you create hope for living, you can never cope in the affairs of this life. Think on these.
Read one of the testimonies that came this month:
My son, his wife and children had a serious accident on Tuesday, 21st July, this week, on their way back home from another State.
According to them, the vehicle was written off, but nothing scratch any one of them. They only suffered shock.
What happened was that, they are on their own lane, when suddenly one heavy Truck left its lane and hit my son's vehicle from behind, pushed their vehicle out of the road. My son's vehicle summersaulted, they were shouting the name of Jesus inside the vehicle. Jesus heard their shouting and rescued them from death. I am very grateful to God, I lose no life . Lord Jesus performed miracle.
