Heb 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Beloved, the system of the world has tempted us to look unto self, skill, bank account, connection or
family background as determining factor for success. But I want you to take your eyes away from self, what you have or don't have, your skill, talent, family background or qualifications and place it on Jesus through whom grace flows and you shall scale new heights without stress.

What we are told in today's text is to look unto "Jesus" and not unto the factors mentioned above. Though they are important but they should not take the place of God in your life. The reason is, when you focus on those factors instead of Jesus, you will always see your inadequacies because they are limited. But looking unto Jesus helps you to see the ability and limitless possibilities of God in that situation.

The circumstances around you may look hopeless. You may have spent all that you have. Maybe your relationship is at the verge of breaking up. You may have been disappointed by a friend that is very closed to you. Perhaps you just received a devastating medical report. The whole world seems to be crashing down around you and you're thinking is there a way out? The way out is, turn away your eyes from yourself (effort)and look unto Jesus (Grace).

Are you wondering what He can do? Can He actually help you out? My answer is YES! Surrender that situation to Him now, He cares for you!

PRAYER: They looked unto Him and they were never ashamed. As you look unto Jesus today, you will not see shame, in Jesus name.
