Acts 4:31 "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they
were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness."

Another way we can provoke the workings of the spirit of grace in our life is what the scripture refers to as
"Prayer of faith" (James 5:15). This is what I call 'believing prayer.' We see an example of this in today's text. When Peter and John were threatened not to preach Jesus. Peters responded:

"But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to  hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things  which we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:19-20).

His response showed they knew what to do. What did they do? They went back to their own company and reported what happened. Then they all began to pray. They didn't talk about the problem just like what many do today. War against COVID-19 should not stop at sensitization alone, let's get on our knees. We can't manifest the grace of God only by talking or creating awareness on how to curb its spread but also by praying. These people prayed and God gave them great grace as an answer.

Very importantly too is the fact that they didn't just pray, they believed God for answer. When you pray, do you believe God will answer you? The Bible says: "Whatsoever you ask, when you pray, believe, and you shall have it" (Matt 21:22).

PRAYER: Every desire you table before God today shall come back to you as an answer in Jesus name.

COVID-19: Stay safe and ensure you follow all necessary precautions.
