James 4:6 “But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."
It is important for us at this juncture to examine how to access God's grace. If grace is a secret to greatness, then there
is need for us to know how to access it.
From today's text, it is clear that humility is one of the accesses to the grace of God. Even if you have the understanding of what grace is, you cannot still access it without humility.
When you are enjoying the grace of God in life, please beware of pride. There is always a room for more grace if only you know how to retain the one you have. The more you humble yourself the more grace is poured you.
There are things that can initiate pride which we must watch against. These include our intellectual ability, success in our endeavors and the like. But you must bear in mind that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. You cannot enjoy God’s grace if pride is found in you in whatever form.
Lucifer was created an angel of beauty and perfection, but he became proud and he was brought down eternally (Ezk 28). You must remain level-headed because whatsoever you have and in whatever capacity you find yourself today, you are what you are by the grace of God.
PRAYER: Receive grace to always be level-headed, in Jesus name.
Note: We're waiting on the Lord in a fast today. Refer to yesterday's reminder post for details.
