Psalms 100:4 "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name."
One of the secrets to victory over issues of life is thanksgiving. The reason is because, thanksgiving is
the gateway to God's Presence (Ps 100:4) and God's Presence guarantees victory all the time (Ps 97:5).
What is thanksgiving? It is recounting the past acts of God your life. We need to look back and bless the Lord for the past blessings and victories we have enjoyed to secure more (Ps 103:1-8). To cultivate the art of thanksgiving, like Psalmist, your focus should be first on spiritual things, not material things. One of the reasons man doesn’t have gratitude in his heart is because man’s focus is on material things.
Also, thanksgiving is provoked when you make a comparison between where you are now and where you used to be. You might not be where you want to be but you are not where you used to be. You might not have what you desire but God has not given you what you deserve. The Bible says in Psalm 130:3 "if the LORD regards iniquity, who will stand?" So, God has been good to you.
His goodness is not subject to anything that happened externally. If you are promoted or not, He is good. I want to admonish you to spend the remaining days of the year in quality thanksgiving to God for all blessings and victories of the year and you will secure His Hand for next year.
