TEXT: "And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine" (1Sam 17:32)

I want to start by saying that your reaction to any situation, positively or negatively, is a function of how you see the situation. What you see and scream another sees it and laughs. David approached the situation that confronted the army of Israel positively because of what he saw that the army of Israel couldn't see. Due to the giant nature of Goliath, the army of Israel trembled for days without doing anything but when David came he saw differently and was bold enough to approach it instantly.

What differentiated David and the army of Israel in the battle against Goliath?

(1) The army of Israel saw giant Goliath but David saw God who is greater than Goliath.

(2) The army of Israel saw defeat and reacted in fear but David saw victory and responded in faith.

(3) The army of Israel saw limitation but David saw an opportunity to be an in-law to the king.

(4) The army of Israel saw bondage (It was said that the defeated group will be subject to the winner) but David saw freedom because he knew better. (John 8:32).

(5) The army of Israel allowed fear but David allowed faith.

(6) Etc.

It is not what people see in you that matters but what you see in yourself. Don't let people's opinions of you dictate your approach to life. They may not believe in you but you still have to believe in yourself. What are your visions for this year? Write them down if you have not and begin to rehearse them to yourself daily. They shall be fulfilled before the year runs out in Jesus name. (Hab 2:2).

PRAYER: Whatever that has intimidated you before now shall bow to you from now on, in Jesus name.
